Warmwell Stables are set in the beautiful West Dorset Countryside, just outside Dorchester. Mrs Helen Nelmes, has taken over the yard, having been a partner for over 18 years, working in conjunction with Mrs H.J.C Ross-Skinner who established the stud over 50 years ago as a Welsh Pony Stud. Helen has built up its reputation to also include the breeding of quality competition horses whilst still having Welsh ponies at the yard. Helen is very passionate about her horses and always has their interests at the forefront of her mind; To quote Helen “they’re not just ornaments, they’re horses as well”.
Helen’s main priority has always been and will always remain the horses. However, she is always there to give help, support and advice to owners, staff and friends, providing a listening ear and most importantly of all share a cup of tea or coffee with you!
